Overview

In 2010, the Linden-Kildare CISD Police Department was created as a law enforcement agency with mutual aid from Linden Police Department and the Cass County Sheriffs' Office. Linden-Kildare CISD Police Department is a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement certified police department.

 

Our Mission

The Linden-Kildare CISD Police Department will always strive to provide the highest quality service in preserving human rights, lives and property, while attempting to achieve the mission goals of the department, school district and the Linden-Kildare CISD community. In the LKCISD Police Department, we are committed to the highest professional standards, working in partnership with our students, faculty, administration and citizens to problem solve and, create a safer environment, while improving the Linden-Kildare CISD community members’ quality of life.

Goals and Objectives:

  • The Linden-Kildare Police Department is committed to being a police department that is proactive, involved, and sensitive to the needs of the school community.
  • To develop positive character traits and exhibit good citizenship and lawful behaviors.
  • To earn the respect of those we serve by providing caring, professional service and treating all persons with dignity and respect.
  • To promote a safe learning environment.
  • To promote a positive role model.
  • To educate our students about public safety concerns.
  • The Linden-Kildare Police Department is committed to school-based service and a campus/community oriented policing and problem-solving approach to school safety and security.

 

 

Benefits

Today the school resource officer program is a very visible part of the school environment. The development of a police department for our schools have four main benefits.

  • Reduces workload on the surrounding law enforcement
  • Improves the public image of the police within the community
  • Promotes better relationships with the schools
  • Enhances the law enforcement agency's reputation
