SAFETY RULES ARE TAUGHT TO ALL STUDENTS ENGAGED IN THE USE OF ANY POWER OR HAND TOOL.

*Ist year students will learn the basics of woodworking. They are expected to use power as well as hand tools in the completion of their projects.

In addition, it is important they know the procedure by which projects are built. All of the skills and procedures can be used throughout their life times and possibly saving them lots of money by doing home projects or completing repairs themselves.

*Additionally, the students are expected to spend quality time researching careers that are of interest to them. (Hopefully they will consider careers related to woodworking).

*Advanced students (2nd year) will be expected to improve the skills they learned the previous year.

ALL THE STUDENTS WILL BE ENCOURAGE TO SPEND TIME RESEARCHING, GATHERING INFORMATION FOR AND APPLYING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS TO TRADE SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY COLLEGES AS WELL AS FOUR YEAR COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES.
